KJV : And when David was a little past the top [of the hill,] behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred [loaves] of bread, and an hundred bunches of raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.
YLT : And David hath passed on a little from the top, and lo, Ziba, servant of Mephibosheth -- to meet him, and a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves, and a hundred bunches of raisins, and a hundred [of] summer-fruit, and a bottle of wine.

ERVEN : David went a short way over the top of the Mount of Olives and met Ziba, the servant of Mephibosheth. Ziba had two donkeys with saddles on them. The donkeys also carried 200 loaves of bread, 100 bunches of raisins, 100 summer fruits, and a wineskin full of wine.

MOV : രാജാവു സീബയോടു: ഇതു എന്തിന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു സീബാ: കഴുതകൾ രാജാവിന്റെ കുടുംബക്കാർക്കു കയറുവാനും അപ്പവും പഴവും ബാല്യക്കാർക്കു തിന്മാനും വീഞ്ഞു മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ക്ഷീണിച്ചവർക്കു കുടിപ്പാനും തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses [be] for the king’s household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.
YLT : And the king saith unto Ziba, `What -- these to thee?` and Ziba saith, `The asses for the household of the king to ride on, and the bread and the summer-fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine for the wearied to drink in the wilderness.`

RSV : And the king said to Ziba, "Why have you brought these?" Ziba answered, "The asses are for the king's household to ride on, the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine for those who faint in the wilderness to drink."
ASV : And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses are for the kings household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as are faint in the wilderness may drink.
ESV : And the king said to Ziba, "Why have you brought these?" Ziba answered, "The donkeys are for the king's household to ride on, the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine for those who faint in the wilderness to drink."
ERVEN : King David said to Ziba, "What are these things for?" Ziba answered, "The donkeys are for the king's family to ride on. The bread and the summer fruit are for the servants to eat. And the wine is refreshment for whoever begins to feel weak in the desert."

MOV : നിന്റെ യജമാനന്റെ മകൻ എവിടെ എന്നു രാജാവു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു സീബാ രാജാവിനോടു: അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ പാർക്കുന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹം എന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ രാജത്വം ഇന്നു എനിക്കു തിരികെ തരുമെന്നു അവൻ പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And the king said, And where [is] thy master’s son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abideth at Jerusalem: for he said, Today shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.
YLT : And the king saith, `And where [is] the son of thy lord?` and Ziba saith unto the king, `Lo, he is abiding in Jerusalem, for he said, To-day do the house of Israel give back to me the kingdom of my father.`

ESV : And the king said, "And where is your master's son?" Ziba said to the king, "Behold, he remains in Jerusalem, for he said, 'Today the house of Israel will give me back the kingdom of my father.'"
ERVEN : Then the king asked, "And where is Mephibosheth?" Ziba answered the king, "Mephibosheth is staying in Jerusalem. He said, 'Today the Israelites will give my father's kingdom back to me.'"

MOV : രാജാവു സീബയോടു: ഇതാ, മെഫീബോശെത്തിന്നുള്ളതൊക്കെയും നിനക്കുള്ളതാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു സീബാ: യജമാനനായ രാജാവേ, ഞാൻ നമസ്കരിക്കുന്നു; തിരുമുമ്പിൽ എനിക്കു ദയ ലഭിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine [are] all that [pertained] unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee [that] I may find grace in thy sight, my lord, O king.
YLT : And the king saith to Ziba, `Lo, thine [are] all that Mephibosheth hath;` and Ziba saith, `I have bowed myself -- I find grace in thine eyes, my lord, O king.`
RV : Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine is all that pertaineth unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I do obeisance; let me find favour in thy sight, my lord, O king.
RSV : Then the king said to Ziba, "Behold, all that belonged to Mephibosheth is now yours." And Ziba said, "I do obeisance; let me ever find favor in your sight, my lord the king."
ASV : Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine is all that pertaineth unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I do obeisance; let me find favor in thy sight, my lord, O king.
ESV : Then the king said to Ziba, "Behold, all that belonged to Mephibosheth is now yours." And Ziba said, "I pay homage; let me ever find favor in your sight, my lord the king."
ERVEN : Then the king said to Ziba, "All right, I now give you everything that belonged to Mephibosheth." Ziba said, "I bow to you. I pray I will always be able to please you."

MOV : ദാവീദ്‌രാജാവു ബഹൂരീമിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ ശൌലിന്റെ കുലത്തിൽ ഗേരയുടെ മകൻ ശീമെയി എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരുത്തൻ അവിടെനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ശപിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു വരുന്നതു കണ്ടു.
KJV : And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name [was] Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.
YLT : And king David hath come in unto Bahurim, and lo, thence a man is coming out, of the family of the house of Saul, and his name [is] Shimei, son of Gera, he cometh out, coming out and reviling;
RV : And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, there came out thence a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came out, and cursed still as he came.

KJV : And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men [were] on his right hand and on his left.

ERVEN : Shimei began throwing stones at David and his officers. Both the people and the soldiers gathered around David to protect him—they were all around him.

MOV : ശിമെയി ശപിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ഇവ്വണം പറഞ്ഞു: രക്തപാതകാ, നീചാ, പോ, പോ.
KJV : And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, thou bloody man, and thou man of Belial:
YLT : And thus said Shimei in his reviling, `Go out, go out, O man of blood, and man of worthlessness!

MOV : ശൌൽ ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ രക്തം യഹോവ നിന്റെമേൽ വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്നു പകരമല്ലോ നീ രാജാവയതു; യഹോവ രാജത്വം നിന്റെ മകനായ അബ്ശാലോമിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ രക്തപാതകനായിരിക്കയാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ ഇതാ, നിന്റെ ദോഷത്തിന്റെ ഫലം നിനക്കു വന്നുഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : The LORD hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou [art taken] in thy mischief, because thou [art] a bloody man.
YLT : Jehovah hath turned back on thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned, and Jehovah doth give the kingdom in to the hand of Absalom thy son; and lo, thou [art] in thine evil, for a man of blood thou [art].`
RV : The LORD hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art {cf15i taken} in thine own mischief, because thou art a man of blood.

ESV : The LORD has avenged on you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned, and the LORD has given the kingdom into the hand of your son Absalom. See, your evil is on you, for you are a man of blood."
ERVEN : The Lord is punishing you because you killed people in Saul's family. You stole Saul's place as king. But now the same bad things are happening to you. The Lord has given the kingdom to your son Absalom, because you are a murderer."

MOV : അപ്പോൾ സെരൂയയുടെ മകനായ അബീശായി രാജാവിനോടു: ഈ ചത്ത നായി എന്റെ യജമാനനായ രാജാവിനെ ശപിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? ഞാൻ ചെന്നു അവന്റെ തല വെട്ടിക്കളയട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head.
YLT : And Abishai son of Zeruiah saith unto the king, `Why doth this dead dog revile my lord the king? let me pass over, I pray thee, and I turn aside his head.`
RV : Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head.

MOV : അതിന്നു രാജാവു: സെരൂയയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരേ, എനിക്കും നിങ്ങൾക്കും തമ്മിൽ എന്തു? അവൻ ശപിക്കട്ടെ; ദാവീദിനെ ശപിക്ക എന്നു യഹോവ അവനോടു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നെ നീ ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ആർ ചോദിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

RV : And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? Because he curseth, and because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David; who then shall say, Wherefore hast thou done so?
RSV : But the king said, "What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? If he is cursing because the LORD has said to him, `Curse David,' who then shall say, `Why have you done so?'"
ASV : And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? Because he curseth, and because Jehovah hath said unto him, Curse David; who then shall say, Wherefore hast thou done so?
ESV : But the king said, "What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? If he is cursing because the LORD has said to him, 'Curse David,' who then shall say, 'Why have you done so?'"
ERVEN : But the king answered, "What can I do, sons of Zeruiah? Yes, Shimei is cursing me, but the Lord told him to curse me. And who can ask him why he did that?"

MOV : പിന്നെ ദാവീദ് അബീശായിയോടും തന്റെ സകല ഭൃത്യന്മാരോടും പറഞ്ഞതു: എന്റെ ഉദരത്തിൽ നിന്നു പറപ്പെട്ട മകൻ എനിക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ ഈ ബെന്യാമീന്യൻ ചെയ്യുന്നതു ആശ്ചര്യമോ? അവനെ വിടുവിൻ; അവൻ ശപിക്കട്ടെ; യഹോവ അവനോടു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now [may this] Benjamite [do it?] let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD hath bidden him.

ERVEN : David also said to Abishai and all his servants, "Look, my very own son is trying to kill me, so why shouldn't this man from the tribe of Benjamin want to do the same? Leave him alone. Let him continue to curse me. The Lord told him to do this.

MOV : പക്ഷേ യഹോവ എന്റെ സങ്കടം നോക്കി ഇന്നത്തെ ഇവന്റെ ശാപത്തിന്നു പകരം എനിക്കു അനുഗ്രഹം നല്കും.
KJV : It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.
YLT : it may be Jehovah doth look on mine affliction, and Jehovah hath turned back to me good for his reviling this day.`

ERVEN : Maybe the Lord will see the wrong things that are happening to me and give me something good for every bad thing that Shimei says today."

MOV : ഇങ്ങനെ ദാവീദും അവന്റെ ആളുകളും വഴിനടന്നു പോകുമ്പോൾ ശിമെയിയും മലഞ്ചരിവിൽ കൂടി അടുത്തു നടന്നു; നടന്നുകൊണ്ടു ശപിക്കയും കല്ലും പൂഴിയും വാരി അവനെ എറികയും ചെയ്തു.
KJV : And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill’s side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust.

KJV : And the king, and all the people that [were] with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there.

MOV : ദാവീദിന്റെ സ്നേഹിതൻ അർഖ്യനായ ഹൂശായി അബ്ശാലോമിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നിട്ടു അബ്ശാലോമിനോടു: രാജാവേ, ജയ ജയ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David’s friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king.
YLT : and it cometh to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David`s friend, hath come unto Absalom, that Hushai saith unto Absalom, `Let the king live! let the king live!`
RV : And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David-s friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king.

MOV : അപ്പോൾ അബ്ശാലോം ഹൂശായിയോടു: ഇതാകുന്നുവോ നിന്റെ സ്നേഹിതനോടു നിനക്കുള്ള സ്നേഹം? സ്നേഹിതനോടുകൂടെ പോകാതിരുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
KJV : And Absalom said to Hushai, [Is] this thy kindness to thy friend? why wentest thou not with thy friend?

KJV : And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide.

ERVEN : Ahithophel said to Absalom, "Your father left some of his slave women here to take care of the house. Go and have sexual relations with them. Then all the Israelites will hear how you humiliated your father, and they will be encouraged to give you more support."
